Re: E.C. to play bumbershoot ??
Thu, August 18, 2005 - 7:06 PMBumbershoot is a big four day music festival that happens in Seattle over Labor Day Weekend. It used to be free, then it was cheap, now it is expensive, crowded and has waaaaay too many drum circles and spinning, twirling hippies.
Okay, they have always been there, but it wasn't so annoying when it was cheap to get in. -

Re: E.C. to play bumbershoot ??
Sat, August 20, 2005 - 1:17 PMNancy and I got the 4 day passes for $55. I think individual passes are $15.00 a day until the Friday it starts, then they bump it up to $20.
Elvis Costello and the Attractions are scheduled to Play on Sunday. And it should be a way fun show. Although there will be lots and lots of people there. The whole bumbershoot thing has to be done with a bit of patience and some quality down time at the Beer Lounge.
But where else can you see Elvis for $15? -

Re: E.C. to play bumbershoot ??
Mon, August 22, 2005 - 11:35 AMI heard that he was just playing solo. That the Attractions had things going on and couldn't be there.
If they are playing, I definately will go, I heard the last tour was great. If it is just him, I'll have to think about it.

It's just been "the Imposters" the past several tours. The only difference is that along with Steve Neive (Keys) and Pete Thomas (drums) you get Davey Faragher on bass (formerly of Cracker I think) instead of Elvis-enemy and kung-fu expert Bruce Thomas Who admittedly kicks ass on all the old Elvis and the Attractions recordings.
The Imposters kick plenty of booty whenever I see them. -

Re: E.C. to play bumbershoot ??
Tue, August 23, 2005 - 4:50 PMDid they play "45" in their 2001-2002 tour? That's one of my favs that I didn't get to hear in this last tour. "Tear off your own head" is also quite awesome. -
